What Causes Nausea After An Endoscopy?

I had endoscopy one week ago. On the second or 3d day I started to have nausea. It comes in waves for the last few days. I am worried not knowing what is the cause. Is it possible that I was infected or injured during procedure? I have a history of nausea, which is nevertheless is very seldom. Thank you Ella

Welcome to HealthcareMagic
as a standard practice the endoscope are sterilised so there is minimal risk of infection and there may be some injury which can lead to nausea .as nausea started on second day it is some internal minor injury being infected .take antibiotic as tab levofloxocin 500 mg once a day and tab ornidazole 500 mg two times plus tab pentprazole and domperidone two times .for few days take small meals and avoid fatty fried fast foods .
If you have any further query then you can come back to HealthcareMagic i will definitely help you and guide you appropriately
