Hi, I fell and had a hematoma on my forehead 5 days ago. The only symptom was nausea, which went away but now I am having some nausea again but not bad. I also didn t have a chance to rest because we were on holidays when this happened. Also I am experiencing some numbness on my face. J
Welcome and thanks for the consult. I have reviewed your health query and concerns regarding Nausea after a history of fall and head injury.
When someone falls and gets a head injury, it leads to internal bleeding inside skull. It causes pressure on brain as the accumulated blood pushes on it. Disrupting normal functioning of brain, it causes nausea, vomiting and unconsciousness depending on the severity of impact.
You need to consult a Neurologist right away. Don't let it go like this as it can be dangerous too. Go for a thorough evaluation as you also feel numbness on face that warrants a nerve involvement in this accident. Your Neurologist will go for a CT Scan of head and some test for nerves. Management goes accordingly.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to ask for more. My direct link is: tinyurl.com/drhanifmd
