Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel like puking right after I smoke a cigarette. I m not a chainsmoker, but whenever I smoke, a feeling of nausea catches over. Why is this happening? Just when I m done smoking a cigarette, I feel like puking but then I vomit out even if i try. But right when the feeling goes away, I feel completely relaxed. Can you please help me understand the cause?

Hi,
Smoking can cause gastric irritation &hyperactivity symptom in form of nausea /dizziness. Nicotine also activates intestinal mobility. Thereby facilitating bowel movement /passing gases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
