What Causes Nausea After Taking Zoely?

I have been taking the Zoely contraceptive pill for less than a week now, last night I was feeling nauseous after eating out but didn t think I would actually vomit.. Needless to say, shortly after taking my Zoely pill I threw up. Now on the pamflet and websites they say if this happens it is like missing the pill therefore one should follow the missed pill instructions. Well, the missed pill instructions suggests that one should take the pill you have missed immediately(even if it means taking two pills on the same day). Now that pill is gone.... I do not have the missed pill anymore. It s in the drain somewhere... Should I take the next day s pill now? Help.

Hi,

Yes, you need to take another pill. Generally, the pill needs to be in the stomach for at least an hour to be absorbed and work. If it is vomited within an hour of intake, it means the pill is not in the blood. We should take another one. So if you have vomited today's pill with in an hour, you should take another pill.
