What Causes Nausea Along With Diarrhea And Fatigue?
I just returned from South Africa 2 days ago... I feel the following: Nausea, fatigue, some non-bloody diarrhea, and some stomach cramping. I never get rumblings, but I just woke up with lots of stomach rumblings... Should I be worried? I have all immunizations. Please let me know. Thanks Loretta Didn t realize I had to pay... Thanks again...
I read your message and understood your medical problems.
It is possible that you are infected while in South Africa. It looks like an ordinary gastroenteritis even though my advice is that you must do some other tests like stool culture in order to identify any other more serious cause which can be important for the public health too.
The traveler's disease is manifested with the exact symptoms and some endemic infections found in Africa develop the same symptoms too.
The good news is that you have run all the immunizations and the symptoms will be light and disappear without the use of specific drugs. Just take enough fluids to stay hydrated and take OTC drugs for the cramps (buscopan).
If the symptoms go severe or new symptoms appear especially fever please seek medical attention.
Hope this is helpful.
