Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You might be having gastritis plus irritable bowel syndrome. Regarding your wrist i think carpel tunnel syndrome has to be ruled out. I suggest you to consult a gastro-enterologist for your bowel problems and an orthopedician for your wrist problem.

For your gastritis- your doctor may prescribe you tablets like Pantop or omez along with antacid gel. You need to take it regularly without fail as per prescription. Apart from this you need to follow some lifestyle tips- Do not eat spicy food, Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm, Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis, Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea.

For IBS-

Finding ways to deal with stress may help prevent or ease symptoms of IBS. Consider trying:

i. Counseling. A counselor can help you learn to modify or change your responses to stress. Studies have shown that psychotherapy can provide significant and long-lasting reduction of symptoms.

ii. Biofeedback. Electrical sensors help you receive information (feedback) on your body's functions. The feedback helps you focus on making subtle changes, such as relaxing certain muscles, to ease symptoms.

iii. Progressive relaxation exercises. These exercises help you relax muscles in your body, one by one. Start by tightening the muscles in your feet, then concentrate on slowly letting all of the tension go. Next, tighten and relax your calves. Continue until the muscles in your body, including those in your eyes and scalp, are relaxed.

iv. Mindfulness training. This stress-reduction technique helps you focus on being in the moment and letting go of worries and distractions.

Treatment of IBS focuses on relieving symptoms so that you can live as normally as possible.

Mild signs and symptoms can often be controlled by managing stress and by making changes in your diet and lifestyle. Try to:

i. Avoid foods that trigger your symptoms
ii. Eat high-fiber foods
iii.Drink plenty of fluids
iv. Exercise regularly
v. Get enough sleep

Your doctor might suggest that you eliminate from your diet: High-gas foods, Gluten. Based on your symptoms your doctor might suggest medications such as- Fiber supplements, Laxatives, Anti-diarrheal medications, Anticholinergic medications, Tricyclic antidepressants. For your problem of wrist you consult an orthopedician. An X-ray may be required to diagnose what exactly is your condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
