What Causes Nausea And Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Liver Cirrhosis?
my roommate is complaining of nausea. He has a pain that in the right upper quadrant of his abdomen and the way he describes it circles down towards his intestines. He is also complaining that he is cold, sweating, and his toes are cold, red and swollen.
I know he has a hx of drinking - I was at the hospital with him last week and learned he has cirrhosis of the liver, hepatitis c and issues with his gall bladder. He has been drinking today and has had very little to eat. Should I get him to a hospital? Are these symptoms something that can be treated here? I'm seriously thinking it has something to do with his cirrhosis... any suggestions?
firstly, you have to convince your friend to stop drinking otherwise disease process continue to progress and reduce the function of liver further. yes, nausea and abdominal pain are due to liver cirrhosis and hepatitis c due to inflammation of liver tissue with its enlargement you should take him regular to hospital for checkup and follow up and these symptoms should be treated in hospital as in these cases internal bleeding can occur in stomach and patient will collapse sudden so need a active intervention you can take help of de-addiction center for alcohol withdrawal.
