What Causes Nausea And Acidity While On Thyronorm?
Hello Doctor, I (27 years old) am on Thyronorm 100mcg for last 3 months since I was diagnosed with thyroid. Recently about 1 month I had my tests done an thyroid level is normal. Since 1 month at morning I have a vomiting feeling and acidity sensation. Also I did not have my periods since last 2 months. Kindly let me know if I need to see doctor for this or these are side effects of medicine.
Thyronorm can cause nausea and vomiting. but it is rarely. Your doctor typically precribe a medication called levothyroxine, a synthetic from of thyroid hormone replacement. You may need to take because your thyroid hormone is low. You need thyroid hormone to survive. but if you ave very severe vomiting you should go to see your doctor. He may add medicine to stop vomiting. You has no period for 2 month, you should check your BHCG for pregnancy test. To out that you do not have symptom neasea and vomiting from morning sickness. In the first trimester of pregnancy nausea and vomiting is a common symptom.
Make sure that you do not have a gastrointestinal issue. You may get nausea and vomiting from your stomachache. hypothyroidisim also can cause nausea and vomiting.
the best way to make sure that is your real problem you should go to see your doctor.
Hope I have answer your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards, Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, Family and General Physcian.
