What Causes Nausea And Appetite Loss While On Lamictal And Amiodarone?
Hi my 88 year old mother who has been taking Lamictal since 2012 for bipolar, & was stable, was put on a heart med, Amioderone. This put her into an agitated mania state. Then she had a psychotic break & was put on resperdal. .5mg in am & 1mg in evening. She is nauseous almost constantly & lost her appetite (she can stand to loose weight). She has been on this since Friday, May 12th & nausea continues unabated. Any suggestions? Clare

Amiodarone may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and loss of appetite.
Remaining drugs also may aggravate nausea. So take it with full meals.
