What Causes Nausea And Black Colored Bowel Movement?

I have felt nauseous the last couple of days and today my stool is black. I also look and feel bloated. I suffer from chronic pain so in addition to taking narcotic pain meds I take a considerable amount of Advil. I take 800 mg at least once a day, sometimes twice a day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi i do care for your concern.
Black colored stool suggest upper gastro intestinal bleeding.
This may be caused due to drug advil that you are taking as a side effect.
This non steroidal anti inflammatory drug may cause ulcer leading to bleeding if not taken along with antacid.
You have not mentioned your age and reason for chronic pain.
I would advise to
Consult your physician and know about other pain relief medication and adhere to one.
Add antacid such as aciloc along with advil for time being.
Hope i have answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.
Thank you.
