What Causes Nausea And Burning Sensation In The Stomach?
Hi. I was very nauseated all day yesterday and today. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking I was having a fit of diarrhea but no. I didn t even have to actually go. I felt very nauseated and similar for most of today and currently I feel like my stomach is boiling. It s reminds me of the time I took diet pills or when I m PMSing but neither of those things are true right now.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It sounds like you got a bit gastritis that is, inflammation of the stomach. This is very common and mostly not a serious issue.
I wonder if you have been recently taking painkiller, or excess of spicy food, alcohol or smoking?
As any of these can cause gastritis, and better be avoided. The good point is that nothing seems serious in such cases we generally give a course of a PPI (proton pump inhibitors) which suppress the acids in our stomach. Over-The-Counter antacids can also help a lot.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
