What Causes Nausea And Diarrhea After Taking Trimethoprim?
Started taking Trimethoprim two weeks ago for recurring bladder infections. I feel very sick. Nausea, diarrhea, shaky, weak, very tired. Unable to sleep. I have had allergic reaction to sulfa drugs in the past but my doctor said we would try this since I had not had a reaction to sulfa for about 30 years. I ve been taking one 100mg tablet at night for two weeks. Feeling worse each day. (I think I d better stop this medication.)

Trimethoprim causes severe acidity this leads to nausea and diarrhea. Please take Omeprazole and Loperamide/Immodium as and when you have loose motions.
