What Causes Nausea And Disorientation After An Arm Fracture?
My normally reasonably healthy 90 year old mother fell on Sunday and broke her humerus. In the last 72 hours she has had long inconsistent bouts of nausea and disorientation. She will have nausea for some time and not want to eat or drink. She then may nap and wake up alert, conversive and hungry. Then after eating she will become disoriented. CT brain scan at that time of her fall and again today show no bleeding or strokes. Having blood tests & urinalysis Monday am. Any suggestions?rsr

You have to check blood test analysis (glicemia, azotemia, creatinemia, SGPT, SGOT) because may be it is not related with this episode. Fat pulmonary embolia can happen when you broke a bone so it is advised an angio thoracic CT.
