What Causes Nausea And Dizziness After A Long Drive?
Upon arrival home after a long drive in the car, about 8 hour drive, my husband has been experiencing bouts of weakness or dizziness. I encourage him to get in the recliner, elevate his legs to heart level, relax and drink some water. In about 30 minutes he begins to feel better. What can be causing this? We drive at least once a month to visit children who are about 8 hours away.

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com Unfortunately your long 8 hours car ride left hm dehydrated. We always think that we are drinking enough but I beg to differ, try and think about dhow many ounces he had during the drive and if for sure it is less than expected, he is merely dehydrated and he therefore has become orthostatic which will cause him to be dizzy.
