Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have been dealing with nausea in the mornings if I do not eat breakfast almost immediately after I wake up. My doctor previously told me to try a protein snack right before bed and I have been for the pat few weeks and I still get VERY nauseous when I wake up. The other day, I waited almost an hour before I ate and I started getting dizzy, like I was going to pass out if I didn t put something into my body immediately. My husband got me some sweet tea to help and after two sips it made me feel better. Makes me think it has something to do with my blood sugar plummeting (hypoglycemia?). But it is not just limited to breakfast time. If I do not eat when my body says it s hungry within 30 minutes or less, I get extremely nauseous, but I have never thrown up from it. Just wondering your advice or opinion on the matter?
It would be better if you mention your age. The symptoms you mentioned may indicate gastritis with or without peptic ulcer/hypoglycaemia.
If I were your treating doctor ,I recommend, -Antacid like tab.ranitidine twice a day for 5 days -Dont skip meals.Have all meals at right time. Avoid hot, spicy and fried food. -If symptoms donot resolve ,investigations like faating blood glucose, upper GI endoscopy with consultation of gastroenterologist will be necessary.
Hope I answered your query. Thanks
