What Causes Nausea And Excessive Sweating After Waking Up Suddenly?
Greetings, I was having a nap, woke up and suddenly got up. Started feeling nauseous, shaky and sweat a lot. My two arms started feeling funny (numb) felt lightheaded like if I was going to faint, had some palpitations also. After like 5 minutes or more I started feeling better and took a reading of my bloodsugar, and it was fine 84mg/dL. But now I m feeling drain and exhausted and little lightheaded but not that much. What could it be? Thanks.
Hi! Welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, it can be a frightening spell or due to sympathetic surge or adrenaline rush caused to panic but endocrine causes should be ruled out. Thyroid levels, as well as cortisol levels may be needed. Serum electrolytes levels should be monitored. If such spell recurs urinary catecholamines levels may be needed. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
