What Causes Nausea And Excessive Sweating While On Treatment For Blood Pressure?

my mother 84 was put on cardizem cd recently she also takes lopressor & lanixam her blood pressure was 135 over 59 She said she does not feel right & a little nausua she was sittting today with great grandchild & was completley soaken with sweat. Should we seek medical attention?

Felt glad that i am able to help your mother overcome discomfort.

My opinion is that since she feels Nausea & excessive sweating only after taking Cardizem cd(as per your details) recently, well definitely the reason could be the medicine(Allergy/side effect) or she might have had a new problem in her body viz., infection/heart problem/any other digestive system problem etc.,many other. Can't explain all here.Hope you understand.

My advise is that 'YES'-she has to seek Medical attention at the earliest, which is not only for her betterment but also avoid further discomfort due to complication.
