What Causes Nausea And Fatigue While On Antibiotics For Congestive Heart Failure?
I was hospitalized for Pyelo a few weeks ago. I was then told I had congestive heart failure I was released and then the antibiotics they gave me weren t working it made me vomit for a few days and I return to the clinic and was told that I had kidney failure. It has been about 2 weeks since then, I feel so tired still and I am starting to feel nauseous again and not eating much. I don t know if I should return back to the hospital or not.
* Nausea is secondary to drug-induced gastritis condition and addition of proton pump inhibitor as pantoprazole, antiemetic as ondansetron or granicetron would be of best help.
* The fatigue is due to inherent weakness through congestive heart failure via reduced cardiac pumping, compromised renal function in issue of pyelonephritis, low hemoglobin due to erythropoietin deficiency, electrolyte disturbances or others.
If you share your recent reports from your health folio as scanned copies in follow up session, it would be a great help to understand the condition in best possible way.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
