What Causes Nausea And Feeling Of Food Stuck In Throat During Pregnancy?
hello, i am currently 14 weeks pregnant and my nausea and sickness has got considerably worse. I also have the feeling that I have food stuck in the top of my throat which is so irritating and when I swallow it makes me more nauseous. Can you tell me what this is and what to take to get rid of it? Thank you
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have feeling of nausea and feeling of food stuck in throat during pregnancy which is because of excessive production of acid in stomach leading to gastroesophageal reflux disease. Due to reflux of acid from stomach to throat and even to mouth there is irritation in throat and choked feeling and at times mucous in throat.Need not to worry about it. Drink plenty of water. You should take a short walk after meals. Avoid large meals. You should avoid spicy, oily and fried food in diet. You can take an antacid and proton pump inhibitors such as ranitidine, omeprazole for 3 days for relief. Take small but frequent meals. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined ans start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
