What Causes Nausea And Headaches After Falling On The Chest?
Good evening...I was pused with great force..impact at my chest but landed hard on my buttocks on cement floor..1st 24 hours post trauma..quite sore..limited mobility..for the past two days have been experiencing nausea and headaches..and am inquiring if it may be a possible concussion as a result of coccyx trauma or if headache and nausea likely due to prolonged episode of pain from coccyx and wrist. .it is no believed I suffered a direct head injury..witnesses deny and no signs of injury at time of trauma
Based on the history you have shared, spinal shock or trauma leading to local inflammation in vertebral column soft tissue inflammation may cause such symptoms and tender areas should carefully be examined an X-ray or CT scan of the spine may be needed.
Eye exam for signs of raised intracranial pressure needs to be looked at. For chest trauma chest X-ray to see pneumothorax or rib fractures should have been done. Chest and cardiac examination would have been a safer option to rule out any such complications.
Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antiemetics like Domperidone can be used.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
