Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been getting nauseous fairly regularly for the past few weeks, since my last period. It s been worse the past few days, and I ve also started getting headaches, lower stomach cramps, and diarrhea. Should I worry? Or is it just a sensitive stomach mixing with a bad meal or something?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You do not need to worry a lot however this should not be ignored. A bad meal could have caused such thing but if it has been for so many days. I think we need to look it in more details. We need to rule out that there is no infection like amoebic or giardia infection or even it can be sometimes bacterial. Another possibility is if it is peptic ulcer. These cases are not very serious but need some care. So, personally I hink you should talk to your doctor now if this has been for this long.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman
