What Causes Nausea And Lack Of Appetite Despite On Ciproflox Tz For Typhoid?
Hi , I have been diagnosed with Typhoid , I am taking metaridonzole 500 mg x3 times per day and ciproflox 500 mg x2 times per day , I have been ill for 3 weeks now and have been on treatment for one week , I still feel nausea all time and lack of appetite , is this normal ? What should I do ? I am I. Remote region of Cameroon . Thanks . G

It can take a few weeks for the medication to take an effect and also for your appetite to return.
The antibiotics may also contribute to the nausea as well so this may be a factor.
Your may need to supplement with vitamins to help promote your appetite and may need to consider a high calorie diet to prevent weight loss and other nutritional problems.
