What Causes Nausea And Lightheadedness In A Child?

My 14 year old son has been ill for well over a week. He can get up and do things, but not for long. He is having a lot of stomach churning around his belly button region. His main complaint is nausea and lighheadedness. He want to sit around and do nothing which is opposite of his personality.

Pediatrician 's  Response
I think he has a viral infection ... or what is called a "stomach flu". At the same time, his symptoms are very vague and do not point to any one diagnosis. It might be a good idea to take him to his physician and get his bloods done. (I mean, tests done).
