What Causes Nausea And Loss Of Appetite While On Nexium?
My dad had eosopgogeal cancer with Barrets esophagus 11 yrs ago resected and has been on nexium since then. The last 2 weeks has been naseus with some emesis and no appetite. Could this nausea be related to long term nexium use or reoccurrence of cancer?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea and loss of appetite while on Nexium. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like like gastritis , IBS or inflammatory disease . But the symptoms can also occur due to nexium as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist and discuss the condition doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , ordidazole or may alter the dose of nexium or prescribe substitute . For now drink plenty of water and take light walk for 15-20 minutes daily .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
