What Causes Nausea And Stomach Pain While Having Diverticulosis?

I have been experiencing naseau and stomach pain for at lest six weeks. Doctors tried all OTC meds, had Endo which revoked nothing and colostomy today which only showed diverticulosis. I AM TAKING LIQUID ZOFRAN AND CARFATE AND SOMETIES THESE SEEM TO DO NOTHING. Doctor did not give me anything today even though I am still in pain and feeling sick. I have ben losing weight steadily. I am starting to lfeel discouraged about finding the cause. I am not stressed , I am a social worker in good mental health. The I not in my head symptoms and the effects of them are real. Any ideas of cause? (Already tried the acid reflux idea and EDS with no relief)

Welcome to health care magic,

Diverticuloum is a abnormal outward projection of mucosa of colon.

When it is get infected,it is known as diverticulitis.You might have repeated infection of this leading to nausea, vomiting,stomach pain etc.

You can take antibiotics ( quinolones or cephalosporins) with antiprotozoals like metronidazole,anti-emetics,antispasmodics, probiotics and other supportive treatment like antacids (pantoprazole) with dietary restrictions to low fat and high protein.

But the main cure is the only surgical removal of diverticulam because of repeated gut infection or they could be also chances of complications like peritonitis or bowel obstruction etc.

So,better you see gastrosurgeon and take advise.
