What Causes Nausea And Vomiting After Taking Trulicity?
I just started taking Truicity for my Type 2 Diabetes. I also take 2000 mg of metformin daily. I have a history of hypothyroidism, and sleep apnea. I am a 49 YEAR OLD female who is obese and shorter in stature. I am having a lot of nauseau with this medication. I have had several rounds of vomiting. The one I experienced today (In a public restaurant) was very embarrassing. Since Saturday I have had a very sore ribcage and am also experiencing some indigestion. I think it is indigestion since when I belch it is so smelly. I have like a tightness in my collar bone. Not sure if I should be worried, but wanted to see what your thoughts are.
Trulicity can be associated with gastrointestinal complications such as the nausea and indigestion that you are experiencing. These can occur in a large number of persons using the medication, the higher the dose, the more likely they will occur.
It is possible that the symptoms may decrease as you continue to use the medication but if this does not occur and the side effects are intolerable, you would need to speak to your doctor.
I hope this helps
