What Causes Nausea And Vomiting While Suffering From Fever?
Ten year old girl, stomach nausea, thrown up mostly liquid several times in last 2 days. fever of 101. eating very little, drinking about 1 1/2 liters of fluids past 48 hours. slight sore throat after first day of nausea. Please advise. We are not near our pediatrician and the only option for local attention is urgent care. Thank you! Beth

There are many causes of fever associated with vomiting, it might be a simple tonsillitis which can be treated by a coarse of antibiotics and antipyretic.
But there are other serious causes of fever and vomiting, which need a special medical attention.
I prefer that your daughter be seen by a doctor as soon as possible for full examination and to roll out serious conditions.
Don't forget to keep her well hydrated.
