What Causes Nausea And Vomiting With Blood After Drinking Alcohol?

Hi, I had a binge drinking session on friday and the next day, I woke up with severe nausea. later, i puked. First part was fully white liquid and the second part was brownish in colour but liquid and after the last retch I puked liquid blood, about 2 tea spoons. I am already diagnised with GERD for 2 years but now I am not under medication.

The problem started with your binge drinking. When you drink alcohol, your stomach gets corroded and creates acid, this causes nausea and vomiting. I am sure that you had developed ulcers due to the corrosive effects of alcohol on the gut and this gave rise to the brown vomit. This is digested blood. This can also be called as corrosive esophagitis. Since you say that you have GERD, I will tell you to take a drug like Pantoprazole with Domperidone, 1 hour before you start drinking. This will avoid this from happening again. Right now, you can take aluminium hydroxide syrup to treat your problem. Take Ondansetron for nausea. Start Pantoprazole + Domperidone combination right from today and continue it for 30 days.
