What Causes Nausea And Yellowish Vaginal Discharge During 40th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hi. Im 40weeks + 6 days pregnant.I last saw my OB at 40 weeks .She did a sweep of my membranes and said i was 2-3 cm and 50% effaced. She was sure i would start labour on my own very soon.I have period like cramping, nausea and some vommiting and lots of mucousy discharge (yellow-brownish). Is this all normal signs? Or will i most likely get induced in a few days?

Hello,

Not nausea, but copious yellow brown mucus discharge may be an early sign of labor onset in some cases. Your OBGYN may guide you for observational hospital stay or not as per the clinical criteria. The progress of the labor with future need of induction all depends upon the time period showing cervical dilation and leaking of amniotic fluid.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
