What Causes Nausea, Bleeding Gums And Excessive Food Cravings After A Depo-Provera Shot?
I received my first depo injection May 27th, I was unaware that I should wait 7 days before having unprotected sex, and am pretty sure after doing research that I was ovulating around that time. My last period started May 17th. I have been having many pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, bleeding gums, cravings, ect. I have not had a period at all this month and have taken 2 pregnancy tests both of which were negative. Should I have a blood test done, or are these common symptoms of the Depo shot?

What Causes Nausea, Bleeding Gums And Excessive Food Cravings After A Depo-Provera Shot?
Hello, * The bleeding gums with excess food cravings are not signs of pregnancy and the same are more likely related to injection of Depo provera. Kindly contact your OBGY for primary evaluation and supportive therapy to cure these symptoms at earliest. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
