What Causes Nausea, Burning Eyes And Throat After Inhaling Bleach And Cleaner Mixture?
Hi, two days ago I mixed clr spray with bleach. I had my bathroom window open. Once I mixed two together my eyes instantly started burning. I admediatly rushed to the window. The next when I woke up my throat was hurting. I now have this sharp pain on the left side of my head and nausea after eating. I called the poison controll and they said that I m fine. I don t have problems breathing. However, it s in my head so I m constantly taking deep breaths. I can t slee because I m scared. How long will these symptoms last?
This is due to the inhalation of Chlorine which is liberated from bleaching powder. It is very toxic can cause allergic reaction to the air passages in the lungs as well as eyes. if u have had asthma in the past then u need to take the salbutamol inhaler and Budesonamide inhaler for control of symptoms. Otherwise just take some cough syrup which will relieve the choking sensation and an anti allergic like Zyrtec for 3 to 4 days. saline gargles will also help. if the choking sensation does not subside then u must visit the doctor to rule out allergic bronchitis.
