What Causes Nausea, Chills, Frequent Urination And Abdomen Pain?

My wife, aged 78, following a meal, often becomes nauseated, has cold chills, and needs to rush to the toilet. She then feels empty, but her abdomen is painful. She becomes so faint & weak that I have to help her up, clean her up, and get her to the bed. This seems to be occurring more & more often. ???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms of your wife seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest to do a urine test to confirm the diagnosis.

I also recommend using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen three times a day to relieve the symptoms.

If the diagnosis is confirmed I suggest to take a cycle of antibiotics.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
