My mother is 62, diabetic and hyper-thyroid. Symptoms on Day 1 were abdominal pain on right side, 101 Celcius fever and flu-like symptoms, general body pain and diarrhoea. Doctor said it was colitis and prescribed Ciflan 500 twice daily + Cyclopam + Calpol on SOS. On Day 2, abdominal and body pain disappeared. Fever dropped to 99 but stayed. Diarrhoea reduced but started at the end of Day 2. New symptoms of nausea started and coughing increased. Weakness increased. We think the Cifran is not suiting her. Or maybe it s not colitis and it s gastroenteritis or something else? Today is Day 3 and she looks 30 per cent better from Day 1 but...
