What Causes Nausea Followed By Fainting And Breathing Difficulty?

My son had an attack of unusual symptoms yesterday, lasting about 5-10 minutes and very severe, starting with a nauseated feeling as he collapsed and was unable to breathe well and I tried to get him water but he took it into his mouth and it came pouring back out and he said now I cannot swallow either. This type of attack has happened in the past twice ( a few years apart) but neither was as severe. I called the ambulance but while I was talking to them he started coming around and said he did not want to go to the hospital. He also has high anxiety and never leaves the house except to walk our dog as they are very close and the dog will not leave his side ever.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
In my opinion you should take him to a physician and do a thorough clinical examination for nervous system. Please don't hesitate and take him to a doctor even if he refuses.Tell him it would benefit him to prevent further such attacks and if it happens when you are not around how would he manage if it worsens and it is necessary to see a physician to know the exact diagnosis to keep yourself out of dilemma and prepare for further management. All the best
