General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

This looks very likely as you have got viral pharyngitis. This is generally self-limiting though it can be quite painful.

You should take more fluids, gargles with warm water with a little salt in it.

You may use paracetamol or ibuprofen for the pain and fever and watch it carefully. If it does not settle in a few days, or if you see discharge at your throat, then you should see your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
