What Causes Nausea, Headaches, Lower Back Ache And Fatigue?

I have been experiencing nausea (mostly in the mornings and evening but on and off all day), mild headaches (with one migraine that lasted about 10 hours), lower back aches, fatigue. I have had these symptoms for a week. There is a chance that I could be pregnant but I m not sure and I don t want to rule out any thing that could be more severe. I am 33 and I have no children. My last period was April 18, 2015 but was not normal in any way (it came 4 days early with ABSOLUTELY no symptoms and was bright red and very thin flow, lasted 3 days). I smoke about a half a pack of cigarettes per day. I work two jobs. Any suggestions are welcomed. If you need any more background please let me know. I have no health insurance so I could really use the help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Nausea, headaches, lower back ache, and fatigue can be caused by a variety of factors, including pregnancy, stress, dehydration, lack of sleep, hormonal imbalances, and certain medical conditions. Given that you mention the possibility of being pregnant, it's important to take a pregnancy test to rule out this possibility. If the test is positive, you should make an appointment with an obstetrician for further evaluation and management.

If the pregnancy test is negative, it's still important to address your symptoms. Try to stay hydrated, get adequate rest, and reduce stress in your life. You should also consider quitting smoking, as smoking can worsen many health conditions and increase your risk of developing others. If your symptoms persist or worsen, consider seeking medical attention from a healthcare professional who can perform a thorough evaluation and provide appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
