What Causes Nausea, Lightheadedness And Tremors While Having Low Pulse Rate?

I am lightheaded, nauseous and shaky. I took my blood pressure and its around 115/70 with a pulse of 57. My normal pulse is around 80-90. Should I be worried that my pulse is too low? My temperature is normal, 98.8. I just started a new medicine last Monday to help with my migraines, propanol 40mg. Could the new medicine be causing this? I m worried because I can feel my heartbeat and I don t feel well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to propranolol use. Propranolol can cause lightheadedness, nausea and tiredness. The body will probably adjust the symptoms, so I suggest to continue the medications for a week. If the symptoms continue, you should consult your doctor for an alternative treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
