General & Family Physician, Dr. Jay Patel's Response
Hi,
No, you are not pregnant if you hadn't had sex with your partner after having your menstrual cycle. The mishap prior to cycle has no impact after the cycle occurred. If nausea or vomiting persist, it is likely due to food poisoning or viral gastritis which needs to be checked. The best way to be sure is to wait for the next cycle to occur. If it comes on time, it confirms the non-pregnant status again.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jay Patel, General & Family Physician
