What Causes Nausea, Small Rashes On Face And Forearms And Throat Soreness?

Thursday and Friday I felt a little nauseated. Saturday night I felt like my face was blistered and I had been in the sun a little that day. Then I had a sandpaper rash with some edema of cheeks and eyes on Sunday. Today the facial edema is almost gone but the sandpaper rash remains on face and is also now on inner forearms and down sides (rib cage). I am 23 years old and 8 weeks IUP.. I have not felt feverish except for the heat in the rash Saturday night. My throat was quite sore during the night last night but felt much better today. I had a tonsillectomy when I was a child.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of nausea, small rashes on face and forearms and throat soreness . Well the symptoms you mention in query probably occurring due to bacterial/viral infection. The symptoms can also occur due to allergic reaction like food allergy , so also consult allergy specialist . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination as infection has already spread. Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile and examine ear with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs ( acyclovir ) at least for a week along with decongestants and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic specialist for severe joint pain. For now do warm saline gargles , take steam , take proper rest , take anti histamine like benadryl twice a day, keep yourself hydrated and apply dry hot compresses to ear .
