Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had very sore neck muscles for two months, swollen upper neck lower ear area, headaches, nausea, chills and sweats and dizziness. I have been tested for mono & Valley Fever. TEst results were negative. I am 50 and no chance of being pregnant.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The sore neck muscles with chills indicate underlying inflammatory issue giving systemic manifestations. A close examination of upper respiratory infection, X-ray chest and basic lab tests will help to figure out the issue in best possible manner.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
