What Causes Nausea, Upset Stomach, Acidity And Weight Gain While On Citalopram?
I have been on citalopram 40mg for 3 years. Been to my dr to wean off purely because I am fed up with all the weight gain. I have been advised to cut down to 20mg daily which I have now been doing for 2 weeks. I am back to dr next fri (3 week period). Getting on okay so far but am finding that I am nauseous almost daily since getting to around this 2 week point and upset tummy, increased acid. Is this normal and how long will it take to settle down please?

I really appreciate your concern, in my opinion stop the medicine now, and for the nausea you can have "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg" once in day, cut down the calorie in diet, practice some exercise, hope this information helps, take care, and have a nice day.
