What Causes Nausea While On Protonix And Zantac?

History of ulcers, 40mg protonix x2 daily, 300mg zantac x1 daily. Why do I still get sudden nausea whether I eat or not. Doesn t seem to be any particular trigger. Lasts up to about a minute then subsides and I can feel my stomach squeeze and gurgle. Have had several different tests and have no answers for this particular symptom. Any ideas?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have nausea while on Protonix and Zantac . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastritis , IBS and conditions like ear infection , but in your case the symptoms seems to be due to protonix or zantac , because both medicine are known to cause nausea as a side effect . I would suggest you to consult your doctor for proper examination and rule out other conditions . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now drink glass of water with lemon and ginger in it .
