What Causes Nausea,fever And Throat Pain?

Hi well my name is Priscilla I'm 23 years old I been sick in bed for almost a week already I been having fevers, nausea, really weak my throat is really hurting can't eat or drink anything because of the pain in my throat and under my left ear left side of my throat is a ball that hurts my throat when u touch it can u please tell me what's going on and what I can do to take this pain in my throat go away please thank you very much!

I am Dr.Ahmad Bilal, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.


MY OPINION:

You symptoms, like fever with soar throat show that you have a throat infection.

In medical terms we call it upper respiratory tract infection.

This might just be inside of your throat or your tonsils.

SUGGESTIONS:

1) I would ask you not to panic this thing can be controlled.

2) Take OTC Tylenol 500mg thrice a day to control pain and fever.

3) Good OTC lozenges do help too.


4) I would suggest you to visit an ENT specialist or atleast a G.P as soon as possible because This thing will most probably need antibiotics to be taken.

Get antibiotics prescribed if your doctors thinks they are required and then take then regularly.

This problem will get better in a week or so or even before that with proper care and treatment.

Keep taking liquid soft foods if you cant take hard ones so that your nutritional status stays good.
