What Causes Nausea,frequent Urination And Breast Tenderness Inspite Of Taking Plan B?

Hi,I took Plan B April 27th after having unprotected sex with my boyfriend when my period ending on the 25th and he ejaculated inside of me. I was nauseous, vomiting (off and on but ALWAYS nauseous), cramping, fatigued, bloating, frequently urinating all day and throughout the night and had swollen and tender breasts. He ejaculated inside of me multiple times May 9th-10th but the 11th-13th, I had irregular heavy bleeding that lasted 3 days. I am still experiencing the same symptoms as before this period/bleeding except for the bloating, everything else has gotten worse especially the nausea. Is it possible that I m pregnant? I have not tested because I assumed it was the Plan B but my symptoms have not subsided. My period is always the 20th-25th.

Hi,

Plan B (Levonorgestrel) the progesterone hormonal emergency pill can have break through bleeding and also causes changes in your menstrual cycle. If you have taken Plan B with in 24 hours of intercourse there is 95 percent chance of protection. As there is still 5% chance of pregnancy better to do pregnancy test.

Take the test on morning first urine sample. If it is negative repeat test again after 72 hours. If negative and still having symptoms then a transvaginal ultrasound examination will be helpful to know the exact status of uterus.
