What Causes Nauseating Butter And Salt Taste In Mouth?

I have the taste of butter and mild salt in my mouth most noticeable during eating and am having difficulty eating due to the nauseating taste. I was taking ropinol for restless lake syndrome but stopped that almost 1 month ago due to morning nausea.
