What Causes Neck And Arm Lumps With Pain And Swelling?

my father has had a painful lump on the side of his neck for a week which he has had antibiotics for, the swelling has reduced but is still there and still painful. Today his laft arm just above and around his elbow has swollen up. Do you know what could be causing these swellings?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The history suggest me the possible cause of lymph nodal enlargement.
2.Lymph nodal enlargement is seen in any systemic cause or underlying medical condition.
3.The lump along the elbow joint gives a suspicion about the vascular pathology - venous dilatation / varicosities.
4.In this cad ultrasound will help to evaluate the nature of the lump and its source and extension. If mass lesion - an FNAC - fine needle aspiration cytology would help.
5.Depending on finding the treatment will be, and at the same time make sure the other medical conditions are with in limits. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
