What Causes Neck And Throat Pain Along With Headaches?

Hi I m having front neck pain below my ears and throat area also headache everyday, sometime pain pressure into deep inside my eye sometime right and left,my neck xray soft tissue x-ray r normal now one side of my face is swollen I don t know what to do pls help me

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of neck and throat pain along with headaches which seems to be due to viral infection to your body. It could be due to upper respiratory tract infection as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with anti-inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. You should take Tylenol for fever as well. You should do warm saline gargles and take throat lozenges as well. Avoid intake of outside food. Do tepid sponging if fever is increasing. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get blood tests done. Start treatment after proper prescription and diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antiviral/ antibacterial medications. Avoid cold liquids. Sip on warm water.
