Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my son was stretching this morning as he woke up to get something to drink. He said he heard a wierd noise - different that if you popped your neck. Now he has pain on the right side of his neck going down his shoulder. I have given him some ibroprophen and put icy/hot on the area. Thinking it is a pulled muscle or pinched nerve. What do you think?
as long as, he has no symptoms in his legs, and no reduced force of paralyzed arms it sounds harmless. I would also give him Ibuprofen, and physiotherapy if it persists for more than a couple of weeks.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Kasper Kristensen, General & Family Physician
