As per your clinical history is concerned please follow point wise-:
1)your neck pain is due to [TMJ] and for it you can apply warm heat and ice to the affected area every 2 hours.you can take ibuprofen 600 mg twice a day along with [PPI] for muscle relaxation for which you need a prescription from your doctor, during this time avoid over use of jaw muscles and eat soft foods.
2)Altered sense of taste is due to minor infection tell your doctor to add a course of antibiotics like [CEFIXIME] with probiotics. Use mouthwash in hydrogen peroxide 3 times a day. You can take a multivitamin at bed time every day.
