What Causes Neck Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing?
my husband is complaining of neck pain, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness that worsens throughout the day. He constantly clears his throat and is often fatigued. He is a smoker, who quit smoking about one month ago. Prior to that he smoked more than a pack a day. He has done a barium swallow test. Results were fine. He is now scheduled for an endoscopy.

the first three symptoms mentioned by you may be because of the smoking you have done so far as excessive smoking relxes oesophageal sphincter and cause reflux of gastric contents into oesophagus this reflux may explain hoarseness of voice smoking also weakens the bones that may be additional factor for pain in neck .
